I’ve been working in design for about 13 years now, across startups, agencies, and larger organisations. Most of that time has been in digital products, though I started in graphic design and that still shapes how I see things.

I’m originally from Glasgow, Scotland, and I’ve lived and worked in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York. Each place influenced how I think about pace, culture, and the kind of work I want to get involved in.

I’ve enjoyed the different roles I’ve had over the years, but startups have always stood out. There’s something cool about starting with very little and helping an idea grow into something bigger.

Outside of work, I’m usually with my son. We make up stories, invent characters, and build our own little adventures. It keeps me creative in a different way and reminds me not to take everything too seriously.

I’m usually working on something… a product idea, a side project, or just trying to make things a bit better than they were before.
